The Supermileage Challenge is a fuel economy vehicle competition designed for technology students. The primary objective is to provide Career Technical Education students with a hands-on project that fosters practical experience in design, fabrication, and testing. Participants are tasked with building a one-person, fuel-efficient vehicle to compete in various classes. Those classes include, Pro sport (any smaller than 141 CC), Supersport (any motor between 141-250CC), E-85, Urban Concept, and Plug-In Electric. Students then take the vehicle they built to compete among other schools in the fuel efficiency competition- often reaching hundreds of miles to the gallon.
